A lineup that covers all bluefish in coastal waters around Japan
When fishing for bluefish in coastal waters, the most important requirement for a rod is high maneuverability so that the jig can be controlled with precision. It is necessary to be able to cast the jig accurately, move it in small increments when necessary, and have the sensitivity to detect fish chasing the jig and bites during the Faure. In order to achieve such performance, medium to high elasticity carbon is used, but rods with high elasticity have lower tenacity. The Jig Force SD, which was renewed in 2025, offers a high level of both of these conflicting performance characteristics. This model overcomes the loss of stickiness by using a multi-layered structure of 45° x 45° bias carbon, achieving both supple torque and resilience. It is truly a model that can be described as “rigid to control, supple to catch.” The series features six models tailored to bluefish fields across Japan. These rods offer high performance at an affordable price point.

All models offer high maneuverability, bending firmly after a hit to apply pressure and reel in with power.

The blanks are constructed using 24t medium-modulus carbon sheets. By layering bias-oriented carbon sheets at 45°×45° between carbon sheets oriented at 90° and 0°, the rod’s “twist” is significantly suppressed, ensuring sharp jerking and rod return. Furthermore, the powerful torque generated by the rebound force after the rod bends is transmitted to the target without loss, applying steady pressure to bring the fish to the surface.
The standard for nearshore bluefish! A versatile model compatible with PE2 class lines [S612]
This model is the standard rod for near-shore fishing across the country. Designed for use with PE2 line and targeting bluefish up to 10kg, its performance exceeds its specifications. Despite being a 2-class rod, it boasts surprisingly robust butt power, easily handling unexpected hits from large fish.
It excels at the classic one-pitch jerk action, effectively casting the jig to trigger the fish’s feeding instinct. Additionally, it can handle combination jerks with varying speeds, enabling a wide range of enticements. It is ideal for targeting summer yellowtail and spring midwater yellowtail.
High-Speed Single-Pitch Jerk Specialized Short Model [S5103]
This short-length model is best suited for PE 2.5-pound line and excels in coastal bluefish games. The standout feature is its excellent maneuverability and sharp handling, allowing for seamless control of high-speed single-pitch jerks. The sharp jig action instantly triggers the target’s response, inducing reaction bites. After the hit, the rod’s flexible bend from the regular action absorbs the powerful runs.
It handles all types of bluefish, with a target size of approximately 12.5 kg class. By combining it with the standard model, it can adapt to a wider range of situations.
All-purpose standard model for nearshore fishing [S613]
A nearshore all-purpose rod compatible with PE 2.5 lb test line, targeting all types of bluefish up to 12.5 kg. The high-elasticity slim blank achieves lightweight maneuverability while the butt section hides robust power, allowing it to confidently handle unexpected large fish. The rod offers a wide range of actions, from sharp jig casting with a single-pitch jerk to delicate swimming jerks focused on the tip. It also handles large-slide jerks utilizing long jigs, enabling diverse enticements to elicit fish reactions. This all-round model is recommended for anglers seeking a single rod to cover a wide range of tactics.
Current-Attack Power Short Model [S5104]
This tough model features a 5-foot-10-inch short-length design, making it ideal for situations with high rod load, such as drift fishing, fast-moving currents, and mid-depth waters. Its compact length enables sharp, high-speed single-pitch jerks, combining excellent maneuverability with robust power. It is powerful enough to take on large bluefish in the 15 kg class, with a maximum jig weight of 220 g. It fully demonstrates its performance in expedition fields such as the Genkai Sea. This is a practical short model that is ideal for anglers who want power and ease of jerking.
A bait short model that never misses a bite during the fall [C5103]
With the sensitivity unique to bait specifications, it clearly catches bites during the fall, changes in the tide, and even fish playing around. The light and short length design makes it highly maneuverable and excels at sharp lures with high-speed single-pitch jerks. After a hit, the regular action blank absorbs the pull of the fish with the entire rod, allowing you to apply steady pressure. In addition to speed-based lures, it also supports tactics that involve detailed actions in response to reactions near the bottom. With its sensitivity and maneuverability, this is a reliable rod for bait anglers who target bluefish in coastal waters.
Bait model for drift fishing [C5104]
This powerful bait model delivers outstanding performance in mid-depth areas and fast currents during drift fishing. Utilizing its short length, it enables sharp, high-speed one-pitch jerks with ease, while its robust blank allows it to handle battles with large bluefish. Despite its powerful performance, the regular action design ensures a smooth fight. Targeted at 15kg-class bluefish, this is a model you’ll want to choose when the moment arises.

The spinning model features a VSS reel seat, making rod operation during jerks easier and providing stable grip during retrieval. The bait model features a PLUS reel seat, with the trigger positioned further forward than conventional models, enabling a variety of rod actions.

All guides are SiC guides. They provide smooth line release and are gentle on the line.
