Everyone wants to catch a fish, but if the line connecting the angler and the fish has poor performance, the angler will not be able to catch the fish. Of course, you have to consult with your wallet when purchasing a line, but you want to choose the highest quality line possible from the manufacturer. Sunline’s AMAZER is one such top-quality PE line.
In 2023, Sunline introduced a PE line called “SALTIMATE INFINITIVE” that uses “High Grade PE (HG-PE),” a material that is 20% stronger than high-strength Super PE, and this model uses “ULT-PE” as its material. The new model uses ULT-PE as its material. This is an ultimate quality Ultimate PE line with high strength and high abrasion resistance in a high class material with a taut thread quality that is excellent for line operation.
INFINITIVE and AMAZER are made of different materials, so each model has its own characteristics in terms of comfort, but when compared in terms of linear strength, INFINITIVE No. 1 has 18lb, No. 2 38lb, and No. 3 51lb, while AMAZER No. 1 has 22lb, No. 2 40lb, and No. 3 51lb.　22lb, No. 2 40lb, and No. 3 54lb. Now, I would like to explain each AMAZER model. Like other PE lines, AMAZER is available in 8-strand and 4-strand configurations, each of which has its own unique characteristics.
The first feature of the “AMAZERⅹ8” is that this model was developed as a model with strong linear strength. When a fish hits near a root or runs toward the root after being hit, it is necessary to control the running of the line in order to kill the fish without breaking the line. The drag should be set as strong as possible in relation to the line strength to stop the fish’s movement. In such a case, high linear strength is important.
In addition, “AMAZER X8” is treated with Sunline’s proprietary Smooth Surface Processing (SSP). This process further brings out the potential of the material by smoothing the surface of the PE line, reducing the fluffiness of the fibers and creating a smooth, almost circular structure that provides excellent gliding action. This allows the jig to reach the bottom more quickly.

AMAZER ⅹ4” for maximum sensitivity and durability

PE line has low elongation and is highly sensitive, but it still has a few percent elongation. This elongation is caused by the tightening of the braided fibers, but in mid- to deep-sea conditions, a few percent of that elongation is a lot. This makes it difficult to catch small bites from fish in deep water, and the response of the jig action is poor. Therefore, AMAZER ⅹ4 was developed with the aim of achieving 3% elongation, which is the limit of elongation at which stable strength can be maintained.
The material used in the AMAZERⅹ4 is Ultimate PE, which has high tensile strength, high strength, and high abrasion resistance, and is specially treated with Smooth Surface Prosessing (SSP), the same as the AMAZERⅹ8, but it also uses Low Stretch Prosessing (LSP) braided into the material. LSP) technology is used in the braiding process. A 600m reel is also available, and is recommended for slow pitch jerking in mid to deep water.
